Attacks on Journalists
Jammu & Kashmir, Assam and Odisha reported the highest incidents of conflicts involving journalists in the last five years.
Rajasthan, Gujarat, Mizoram and Nagaland reported the lowest instances of attacks on journalists.
In Sikkim and Ladakh there were no incidents of attacks on journalists.
There were 674 reported instances of conflicts involving journalists in India from January 2016 to July 2021 according to the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED).
These attacks were spread across 273 districts in the country. The ACLED dataset sourced these conflicts from reports from 117 different organizations.
